Torn Sheets and Little Bows

For those of you who don't know, Joshua is a big boy. Corn-fed as some would say. And sharing a full size bed with him is interesting to say the least. Gratefully my beautiful future sister-in-law and wonderful future brother-in-law gave us their over sized California king dream. With this being said we also got the bedding to go along with it. However these beautifully soft perfectly brown Egyptian cotton sheets couldn't handle him.
One plop on the bed and RIPPPP!
So my grand idea? Switch the torn end to my side.
Well what did I do? Stuck my leg right though the hole and RIPPPPPP!

Well poop....

On a mission to find a new sheet (who knew California king was so hard to find??), I came up with an idea!
I didn't want to just throw the old sheet away, so I would use it somehow for the wedding.

So old sheet in hand I did just what I was buying a new sheet for in the first place.

RIPPPPPPPPP!
RIPPPPPPPPP!
Until there were torn and tattered strips of sheet everywhere.

And then I started tying and fluffing.
Each torn piece now a bow on jars and even Gabbee's flower basket :)
A little raffia and taa daa!

With our budget I guess we have to learn to recycle... Not only did I make the perfect finishing touches for the centerpieces from the old sheet, I got a new sheet with a coupon and it was even on sale.

That's it for now.
Check back later for more of our crazy antics.
XoXo, Grace
